Kajabi Export Guide: Contacts, Subscriptions, Offers and Videos

What this export kit covers

This guide is the export half of our Kajabi to Whop migration plan, but the files work for any destination on our list of Kajabi alternatives. By the end you'll have every customer list Kajabi can give you, your original course videos, and copies of the things Kajabi can't export.

Kajabi splits your data across separate exports, and each one arrives by email. Menu paths below come from Kajabi's help center, checked on October 3, 2026.

What you need:

• Access to the inbox for your Kajabi account's email address, since every export is emailed there.
• Any Kajabi plan. Kajabi's help center doesn't tie these CSV exports to a plan tier; the public API is only included on Pro.
• An active plan. When a cancelled plan runs out, your site goes offline, and Kajabi may delete customer data 90 days after that.
• A folder in cloud storage or on your computer to keep everything together.

Before you start

A few minutes of setup makes the files easier to match later.

• Do all the exports on the same day, so a member who joins or cancels mid-export doesn't throw your counts off.
• Note your total contact count and active subscription count in Kajabi, so you can check the files against them.
• Check your plan's contact limit, listed with the rest of Kajabi's plan limits and prices. Contact exports are capped at it: 2,500 on Basic, 25,000 on Growth and 100,000 on Pro.
• Tell the account owner if that isn't you. Kajabi can email the owner whenever a report is exported.
• Make subfolders for contacts, subscriptions, payment plans, offers, videos and text.

Step 1: Export your contacts

In Kajabi, open Contacts, choose a segment or filter if you only want part of your list, click Select All, open Bulk Actions and choose Export, then click Submit. Kajabi emails a download link with the subject "Contact export process completed".

Download the CSV within 3 days, because the link expires after that. If clicking the link opens the file as raw text in your browser, right-click it and choose Save link as.

One easy mistake is exporting a filtered view by accident. Clear any filters if you want everyone.

Step 2: Export your subscriptions

Open Sales, then Subscriptions, click the More Actions menu and choose Export Subscriptions. The CSV arrives by email from Kajabi's support team, with a subject like "Subscription export process completed".

This is the most important file for keeping paying members. Kajabi lists these columns: Subscription ID, Setup Fee, Amount, Currency, Interval, Type, Status, Trial Ends Date, Canceled On Date, Next Payment Date, Customer ID, Customer Name, Customer Email, Offer ID, Offer Title, Provider, Provider ID, Created At and Coupon Used.

Two columns decide how each member moves. Provider tells you whether Kajabi Payments, Stripe or PayPal bills them, and Next Payment Date tells you when their next charge is due. The Subscriptions table opens filtered to active subscriptions, so check the Status column in your file to see which records you got.

Step 3: Export your payment plans

Open Sales, then Payment Plans, click the More Actions menu and choose Export Payment Plans. The file arrives by email with a subject like "Payment Plan export process completed".

Besides customer and offer details, it includes Number of Payments, Completed Payments, Next Payment Date and Ends on Date. Anyone whose completed payments are below the total still owes installments, so decide how you'll handle them before you cancel Kajabi.

Step 4: Export a purchase report for each offer

Open Sales, then Pricing, find an offer, open the menu next to it, pick a date range and click Export. Kajabi emails a report with the subject "Offer purchases export process completed for" followed by the offer's title.

Each report lists purchaser names and emails, the date and time of every purchase, the upsells and order bumps they took, deactivation dates and any extra checkout fields. Repeat it for every offer that has ever sold, and choose a date range that covers the offer's whole life. These reports tell you which one-time buyers should get free access on your new platform.

Step 5: Save your course outline and lesson text

Kajabi has no full course export. Its course template export (Products, open the course, Customize, then Export as zip from the template card's menu) is a layout file for importing into another Kajabi site, and its emailed link expires after 7 days. Kajabi's help center says product properties and content need a manual backup.

So for each course, copy the module titles, lesson titles and lesson text into a document in the order students see them, and collect the PDFs and worksheets attached to lessons. That outline is what you'll rebuild from on any new platform. If you're on Kajabi Pro, the public API can read your course outline (modules, lessons and their order), though not the lesson text or videos.

Step 6: Download your course videos

Kajabi lets you download any video you uploaded, one lesson at a time. Open Products, select the course, click the lesson, open the Video Actions menu under the player and click Download Video. A browser tab opens with the video; click the more icon in its bottom right corner and choose Download.

Videos on landing pages and website pages work the same way from the page editor: select the section with the video block, click Edit, then Video Actions and Download Video.

Name each file with its module and lesson number, such as "02-03 Pricing your offer.mp4", so it matches your outline. If a lesson has no Download Video option, the video was probably embedded from YouTube, Vimeo or another host, and the original lives there.

Step 7: Copy what Kajabi can't export

Some things have no export at all. Copy them into documents while your account is still active.

• Email sequences and broadcasts: we found no export for them in Kajabi's help center. Copy each email's subject, body and send delay, in order. If you're moving to Whop, plan to rebuild them in an email app from Whop's App Store or your own email tool: as of October 3, 2026, Whop has no built-in email marketing (no broadcasts, sequences or segments), only welcome and goodbye messages with an optional email copy, forum posts by email and transactional emails.
• Blog posts: Kajabi says they can't be exported. Copy the text and images from each post.
• Community posts: Kajabi's help center lists no export, and a July 2025 r/kajabi thread asking how to do it got no replies. Copy or screenshot the threads worth keeping.
• Landing pages: the landing page export is a zip for re-importing into Kajabi, with a link that expires after 7 days. Copy your sales copy into a document instead.
• Coupons: your exports show which code each buyer used, not the coupon settings. List each code with its discount and limits.
• Affiliates: list each affiliate's name, email and commission rate so you can invite them to your new program.

Step 8: Turn the files into a Whop-ready member list

Drop your contacts, subscriptions and offer purchase files into our free member list converter. It cleans a Kajabi export into a Whop-ready member list in your browser.

Our migration wizard then uses that list to set up member access on Whop: free claim links for one-time buyers, and for subscribers a matching plan with a free trial that ends on their Kajabi Next Payment Date. Whop's API can't add members for you, so members claim access through those links. Subscribers whose Provider is Stripe can instead move with Whop Migrations, which keeps their cards and renewal dates for active and trialing card subscriptions of $1 or more that have an email; our subscription migration guide explains both paths.

Check that everything exported

Before you close anything, compare the files against Kajabi itself.

• The contacts file has the same number of rows as your contact total in Kajabi, and it isn't stuck at your plan's limit.
• The subscriptions file shows the same number of active subscriptions as the Subscriptions page with its Active filter on.
• You have one purchase report for every offer that has sold.
• Every payment-plan buyer with installments left appears in the payment plans file.
• You have one video file for every video lesson, and a few spot-checked files play from start to finish.
• Your outline document has the same number of lessons as each course in Kajabi.

Troubleshooting

Most export problems come down to email delivery, expired links or limits.

When every file checks out, you're ready to learn how to cancel Kajabi safely. Keep the folder after you cancel; it's your only copy once Kajabi deletes the account data.
