For each platform, the calculator adds up one month of fees at the same sales, average price and card mix, then puts the total next to Whop's:
monthly fees = plan price
+ sales × (platform % + card %)
+ subscription sales × subscription surcharge %
+ international sales × international-card surcharge %
+ (sales ÷ average price) × fixed fee per charge
The effective fee is monthly fees ÷ sales, and what you keep is sales minus fees. We round to whole dollars at the end, so a total can be $1 off the sum of its rows.
Whop has no plan price: 2.7% + $0.30 per US card charge, plus 0.5% billing on subscriptions and 1.5% on international cards. Orchestration (0.8%), Whop Tax Service (2%), Radar fraud screening ($0.07 per charge) and currency conversion (1%) stay off until you tick them under Fine-tune. Whop lists Radar per transaction, so tick it for the most conservative number. Every other line is in Whop fees explained.
Other platforms use US card rates on their default payment system, such as Kajabi Payments or SamPay; Skool and Hotmart charge one all-in fee. Where you bring your own Stripe account (Circle, Podia, Mighty Networks and others), we use Stripe's standard US pricing: 2.9% + $0.30, plus 1.5% for international cards. Surcharges a platform doesn't document are left out, and the notes under the results say which.
Until you pick a plan, we start with the platform's cheapest plan that can sell subscriptions at $10,000 a month, so the default comparison never flatters Whop.
