Mighty Networks to Whop: What Moves and How to Switch
MoveToWhop is independent and not affiliated with Whop, Inc. or any platform we cover. We may earn a referral commission from Whop when you create a Whop through our links. It never costs you anything, and it's how we keep migrations free. How we make money
Quick answer
Mighty Networks bills web purchases through your own Stripe account, so Whop Migrations can move active card subscriptions of $1 or more with their renewal dates. Members who subscribed in the Mighty iOS app pay Apple, so they cancel there and re-join on Whop. Member emails come from Mighty's Member List download on Launch and up, and courses are rebuilt in Whop Courses after you download your native videos.
What moves
Mighty Networks to Whop at a glance
This is what the free migration tool does for Mighty Networks today. Rows marked Guided or From your export need some input from you: a confirmation in the wizard or the file Mighty Networks gives you.
Products & pricing
MovesYou confirm your products and prices in the wizard (prefilled where we can). We create matching Whop products and pricing plans through Whop's official API.
Courses
MovesPaste or import your course outline and we create the chapters and lessons in Whop Courses. Video files don't transfer automatically: re-upload them in Whop or embed them from YouTube or Loom.
Members
From exportUpload the member export from Mighty Networks. We clean it and set up a hidden "Existing members" option on Whop: free claim links for one-time buyers, and active card subscriptions move with Whop's own Stripe migration (see Paying subscribers below). Whop's API can't add members directly, so members claim access from the link you send.
Community
MovesWe create Whop Forums and Chat with a pinned welcome post. Old posts and comments don't move, because Whop's API would post them as you, dated today.
Paying subscribers
MovesWeb subscriptions live in your own Stripe account, so Whop's Stripe migration can move the active card ones. Purchases made in Mighty's iOS apps (the standard app or a branded one) go through Apple and can't move, so those members re-subscribe.

What moves from Mighty Networks to Whop
Your member list, your plan prices and your web card subscribers come across. Courses, spaces and posts get rebuilt by hand, and members who bought inside the iPhone app re-join, because Apple bills them. Gamification needs a third-party App Store app or another approach, since Whop has no native points or leaderboards. The table above shows how each part moves; here's what that means for a Mighty Network.
Members
Mighty's member exports are Excel files, and you need the Launch plan or higher to download them. Go to Admin, then Members, then Member List, and click Download. Mighty asks you to confirm you'll follow its terms (no selling or sharing member data), then emails you the file.
The network-wide list has the columns that matter for a move: names, email, email verified, whether the member opted out of commercial emails, Active Subscription Plans and Space Memberships. Active Subscription Plans shows only the interval (Free, Monthly or Annual), not the plan's name.
For billing details, download each paid plan's list too: Admin, then Plans & Access, then Plan List, the three-dot menu next to a plan, and Download Member List. That file adds Platform Purchased, Payment Status, Plan Interval and End of Billing Period, which is everything you need to sort web subscribers from iPhone subscribers and line up trial dates.
Drop the files into the member CSV converter to clean them into one Whop-ready list. Whop's API can't add members directly, so each member claims access through a link: free claim links for free and one-time members, and a hidden plan with a free trial for subscribers Whop Migrations can't move.
Plans and prices
You confirm each Mighty plan's price and interval in the wizard, and we create matching Whop products and plans through Whop's official API. Write down every plan's price and interval before you start. Mighty's payout guide says plan names don't transfer to Stripe, so in Whop's migration preview you'll recognize your plans only by amount and billing cycle.
If you sell in several currencies, check how those subscriptions appear in the preview before you start. Mighty lets a network price plans in up to 10 currencies.
Courses, videos and spaces
Mighty has no course export, so paste each course outline into the wizard and we build the chapters, lessons, lesson text and YouTube or Loom embeds in Whop Courses. Video files don't transfer automatically. Since February 2026, Mighty lets hosts download any native video posted in their spaces, and it has a bulk video download, so pull your videos out before you close anything.
Spaces map to separate Whop apps. Feeds become Forums, chat becomes Chat, courses become Courses, and events move to the Events app, which runs live or in-person sessions with optional paid tickets. Livestreams use Whop's built-in livestreaming, which notifies members when you go live and saves replays automatically. The wizard creates Forums and Chat with a pinned welcome post. Old posts, comments, polls and DMs stay on Mighty.
Payments
Web purchases run through your own Stripe account; Mighty says it never stores or processes card details. Android members are sent to a browser to buy, so they're on Stripe as well. That makes those subscribers eligible for Whop Migrations, which copies active and trialing card subscriptions of $1 or more with the saved card and renewal date, then schedules each Stripe subscription to cancel at the end of its current period.
Two groups can't move that way:
- Members who bought in the Mighty iOS app, or in a Mighty Pro branded app. Apple bills them, Mighty says hosts can't cancel or refund those purchases, and the members manage them in their App Store account.
- Web members whose saved payment method isn't a card, such as Stripe Link, plus past-due members, subscriptions under $1 and Stripe customers with no email. Whop Migrations moves card payments only.
Both groups join Whop through the hidden plan, with a free trial that ends when their paid Mighty time does.
Three Mighty rules to follow during the move
Mighty has a few hard edges that can cost you subscribers if you hit them mid-move. Each comes from Mighty's own documentation.
- Manage plans only inside Mighty. Mighty warns that changing plans directly in Stripe can lose subscribed members and delete plans. Whop Migrations works on subscriptions, scheduling each one to end at its period end, so leave the plans themselves alone in both Stripe and Mighty.
- Don't archive or deactivate a paid plan until its members have moved. Mighty's Admin API reference says archiving a plan cancels all of its subscriptions and revokes access, and Whop Migrations only picks up active or trialing subscriptions.
- Don't disconnect Stripe. Disconnecting goes through Mighty's support team, and if you ever re-enable payments, Mighty requires a brand-new Stripe account.
If you have hundreds of web subscribers, consider a pilot. Exclude everyone except a few members who've agreed to help (the preview accepts email addresses or Stripe subscription IDs), migrate them, and check how their memberships look on both platforms before you run it for everyone. Whop skips subscriptions it has already moved, so the second run picks up the rest.
How the switch works, step by step
Nine steps, with Mighty running until the last one.
- Download the Member List and each paid plan's member list. On Explore, upgrade to Launch for a month or export customers from Stripe instead.
- Download your native videos and gather any original files.
- Note each plan's price, interval and currency.
- Open the free Mighty Networks to Whop migration tool and connect Whop with Whop's official Sign in with Whop. We never ask for your Mighty or Stripe password. Upload your member files and confirm your plans and prices.
- Paste your course outlines, add the videos, and let the wizard set up Forums and Chat. Recreate upcoming events by hand.
- Email members before anything changes, with a separate note for iPhone subscribers (template below).
- In Whop, open Settings, then Migrations, and choose Stripe. Enter the keys for the Stripe account connected to Mighty, add the Whop email shown on screen to your Stripe team with the Data migration specialist role, review the preview and start. Download the CSV report. Our guide to transferring subscriptions to Whop walks through each screen.
- Send trial links to iPhone subscribers and anyone the report skipped, and free claim links to everyone else. Remove web members who re-joined from their Mighty plan so they aren't charged twice.
- Downgrade Mighty to the Free Plan once everyone's moved: Admin, then Mighty Billing Plan, Downgrade Your Plan and Downgrade to Free Plan. Delete the network later, if at all.
How to keep members and avoid double billing
Web card subscribers moved by Whop Migrations don't need to do anything. They keep their price and renewal date, receipts come from Whop, and Stripe emails them that the old subscription is set to cancel, so warn them first.
iPhone subscribers
These members pay Apple, so only they can stop the Apple charge. Mighty's steps for members: on the iPhone, open Settings, tap their name, then Media & Purchases, View Account and Subscriptions, and cancel the Mighty Networks subscription. Their access lasts until the end of the period they've paid for.
Give each of them a Whop link with a free trial that ends on the End of Billing Period date from your plan list. Whop sets trial length per checkout link, in days, so group them by renewal week instead of making one link per person.
You can also give them some good news. If you priced the iOS version of a plan higher to cover Apple's 15% fee, they'll pay your regular price on Whop, and Whop's iOS app sends subscription purchases to Whop's web checkout instead of Apple.
Skipped web subscribers
Members on Stripe Link, past-due members and anyone under $1 join the hidden plan with a trial that ends on their next renewal. Once each one has joined, remove them from their Mighty plan, which cancels the Mighty subscription.

Subject: Our community moves to Whop on [date]
Hi [first name],
On [date], [community name] moves from Mighty Networks to Whop. Courses and events come with us, and we'll keep talking in new Forums and Chat on Whop. Past posts stay on Mighty.
If you pay on the web by card, there's nothing to do. Your membership moves at the same price and renews on the same date, and your next receipt comes from Whop. If Stripe emails you that your old subscription will end, that's part of the move.
If you joined through the iPhone app, Apple bills you, so please cancel in Settings, then your name, Media & Purchases, View Account, Subscriptions. Then join here: [trial link]. You won't pay on Whop until your current period ends.
Free members can claim access here: [claim link]
Our Mighty Network stays open until [date].

Mighty Networks vs Whop fees at your revenue
For web card sales, Whop costs less than every Mighty plan at every revenue level we modeled. At $10,000 a month in $49 memberships, fees come to about $646 on Launch, $666 on Scale and $381 on Whop.
Prices as of October 2026. US cards, $49/month membership, web purchases, plans billed monthly. Sources at the end of this page.
| Monthly sales | Explore ($35/mo) | Launch ($95/mo) | Scale ($215/mo) | Whop ($0/mo) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $120 | $150 | $260 | $38 |
| $10,000 | $886 | $646 | $666 | $381 |
| $50,000 | $4,291 | $2,851 | $2,471 | $1,906 |
To get each figure, we took the plan price, added each percentage fee applied to sales, and added 30¢ for every $49 charge. Mighty's fee (5% on Explore, 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale) sits on top of Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢. Under Whop's published fees (checked October 3, 2026), Whop charges 2.7% + 30¢ per domestic card payment, plus its 0.5% billing fee when enabled, which we count on every recurring charge. US cards, no add-ons, no payout fees, no currency conversion, rounded to whole dollars.
What the table shows:
- Mighty's cheapest percentage, 0.5% on Growth, still adds up to 3.4% + 30¢ with Stripe, against Whop's 3.2% + 30¢, so with Whop's optional orchestration add-on off, there's no revenue level where Mighty overtakes Whop on web sales. Growth billed yearly ($354 a month) comes to about $755 at $10,000 and $2,360 at $50,000. With 0.8% orchestration on, Whop costs 4.0% + 30¢, and Growth comes out cheaper above about $59,000 a month, or about $48,000 if you count Whop's $0.07 Radar fee.
- Between Mighty's own plans, Launch beats Explore above $2,000 a month, and Scale beats Launch above $12,000.
- Mighty doesn't say whether Stripe charges its 0.7% Billing fee on subscriptions Mighty creates. If your Stripe fee reports show Billing charges, add about $70 per $10,000 in sales to the Mighty columns.
- iPhone sales work differently: Apple takes 15%, Mighty takes nothing, and the money reaches your Stripe 8 to 12 weeks later, per Mighty's payout guide. On a $49 plan that's $7.35 per charge.
Left out on Whop's side: 0.8% for orchestration when it's enabled (check that setting after Whop Migrations runs), 1.5% more for international cards, 1% for currency conversion, $0.07 for Radar, 1.25% on affiliate-referred sales, payout fees such as $2.50 for next-day ACH, and the optional 2% tax service. Try your own numbers in the fee calculator and see the full list of Whop fees.
What you'll rebuild by hand
Mighty's community features are the bulk of the manual work. Effort here is relative, not timed.
| What | Effort | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Course videos | High | Download native videos from your spaces, or upload your originals. |
| Lesson text, quizzes and completion rules | Medium | Paste text with your outline, then set drip timing or required lesson order in Whop Courses. |
| Spaces and posts | Medium | Recreate each space as a forum or chat channel and repost your best threads. |
| Events and livestreams | Low | Recreate upcoming sessions in Whop's Events app, go live with Whop's built-in livestreaming, and post the new links on Mighty. |
| Points, badges and leaderboards | Medium | Whop has no native points, badges or leaderboards (October 2026). Third-party App Store apps add leaderboards, or plan another way to recognize active members. |
| Tags and custom fields | Low | They're columns in your Member List file, so keep that file as your record. |
| Automations and integrations | Medium | Rebuild Zapier and Kit workflows with Whop's Zapier triggers and API. Whop has no built-in email marketing (no broadcasts, sequences or segments) as of October 2026. It sends welcome and goodbye messages with an optional email copy, transactional emails and forum posts by email. For broadcasts and sequences, keep Kit or add an email app from Whop's App Store. |
| Referral and ambassador program | Low | Set an affiliate rate on Whop and send top referrers their new links. Whop adds a 1.25% affiliate processing fee on referred sales, and commissions pay out 30 days after purchase. |
| Landing pages and custom domain | Medium | Rebuild landing pages on your Whop store page or a free whop.site website (launched August 2026), built from a blueprint, by describing it to Whop's AI or in code. Since October 2026 you can also paste a page's URL into Websites, Migrate your site, to get an AI-rebuilt copy. It copies pages and products only, not members, subscriptions, SEO redirects or the domain, and copying a Mighty-hosted page is untested. Forward your domain there at your registrar, since connecting it directly to a Whop website currently needs Whop's API. |
Should you switch from Mighty Networks to Whop?
Switch if you mainly sell access to courses, chat and events and the plan fee plus Mighty's percentage is a real cost. Stay if Mighty's community depth or branded app is what members pay for.
Switching makes sense if you:
- pay Explore's 5% or Launch's 2% on top of Stripe, since Whop costs less at every revenue level we modeled;
- want to accept PayPal, which Mighty doesn't support, or crypto and buy now, pay later on one-time sales, which Whop's checkout offers (financing needs Whop's approval);
- lose 15% to Apple on iPhone sales and wait 8 to 12 weeks for the money;
- need integrations such as Zapier but don't want Scale's $215 a month to get them;
- want listing on Whop's Discover marketplace, whose published commission has been 0% since May 12, 2025.
Stay on Mighty Networks if you:
- run Mighty Pro with your own branded iOS and Android apps, which members would give up;
- depend on Mighty's gamification, livestream capacity or automations, and would need to replace them;
- have a large share of iPhone subscribers, since every one of them has to cancel with Apple and re-join;
- want payments in a Stripe account you control. Whop runs every sale through Whop Payments, and new accounts go through identity checks and can face reserves and a $2,500 cap per checkout until approved.
Still weighing options? Our Mighty Networks alternatives compare Circle, Skool, Kajabi, Podia and Thinkific as well. If Circle is on your list, the Circle to Whop playbook shows how a similar Stripe-based move works from there.
After the move: launch checklist
Before you tell members the move is done:
- Buy your own plan on Whop with a real card and check the receipt and access.
- Open a claim link in a private browser window and confirm it opens Courses, Forums, Chat and Events.
- Compare Whop's migration report with your plan member lists, and email every web subscriber who isn't on it.
- Check in weekly with iPhone subscribers until each one has re-joined.
- Complete identity verification on Whop and connect a payout method before migrated renewals start coming in.
- Apply for higher checkout limits first if any plan costs more than $2,500, since new Whop accounts are capped at that amount per payment.
- Pin a "we've moved" post in Mighty, point your link in bio at Whop, and forward your custom domain to your Whop store page or whop.site website.
Frequently asked questions
Will my Mighty Networks members have to re-enter their card on Whop?
Members who pay on the web mostly won't. Mighty runs web purchases through your own Stripe account, so Whop Migrations can copy active and trialing card subscriptions of $1 or more with their renewal dates. Members who bought in the iOS app pay Apple, and anyone paying with Stripe Link or past due isn't covered. Those members join Whop through a link with a free trial.
How do I find out which members pay through Apple?
Download each paid plan's member list from Admin, Plans & Access, Plan List, then the three-dot menu and Download Member List. The Platform Purchased column shows where each member bought, and End of Billing Period shows when their paid time runs out. Use that date as the end of their free trial on Whop, so nobody pays twice.
Can I export my Mighty Networks member list on the Explore plan?
No. Mighty makes member data, including email addresses, available from the Launch plan up. On Explore, your Stripe dashboard still holds the email of every member who paid on the web, so you can export customers from Stripe. For free members, either upgrade to Launch for one month to download the list or pin a post with your Whop claim link.
Can I download my course videos from Mighty Networks?
Yes. Since February 2026, hosts can download native videos posted in their spaces, and Mighty also offers a bulk video download. Course structure and lesson text have no export, so paste your outline into our migration tool and upload the videos to Whop Courses. Use your original files if you still have them, since they're usually higher quality than a platform download.
What happens to my Mighty Network after I cancel?
Cancelling your plan downgrades the network to Mighty's Free Plan at the end of your billing cycle, and you keep premium features until then. Deleting the network is a separate step that needs the Free Plan and every paid plan deactivated first, and it's permanent. Mighty also offers deactivation, which hides the network but keeps its content.
Do I have to keep paying Mighty until every member has moved?
Only until the people still billing through Mighty are sorted. Once Whop's report shows a web subscription as moved, Whop bills it on its own schedule. Keep Mighty on a paid plan until iPhone subscribers have re-joined, skipped members have switched, and you've downloaded your videos and member lists, then downgrade to the Free Plan.
Is Whop cheaper than Mighty Networks?
Yes, for US web card sales at every revenue level we modeled, using Whop's published fees with its optional 0.8% orchestration off. On a $49 renewal, Whop takes about $1.94, counting its 0.5% billing fee and $0.07 Radar fee, against $1.97 on Mighty's Growth plan (0.5% plus Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢) before Growth's plan price. At $10,000 a month, fees come to about $646 on Launch, $666 on Scale and $381 on Whop ($395 with Radar).
