MoveToWhopBot

If you saw MoveToWhopBot/1.0 in your logs, a person pasted a link to your page into the MoveToWhop migration tool, usually to copy their own products and prices to Whop. It is not a crawler.

What it fetches

  • Only the page someone pasted. For Skool it reads the group's public about page, and for Patreon the public membership page.
  • It follows no other links. It doesn't crawl, index or revisit your site.
  • It reads one page per paste over HTTPS (one GET, plus one per redirect, at most 3 redirects), reads at most 2 MB, and gives up after 10 seconds.
  • It runs no JavaScript, sends no cookies and never logs in.
  • Fetches are rate-limited per IP address (about 6 a minute).

What it reads

Product names, prices, course outlines and the brand name, taken from the page's structured data (JSON-LD, Open Graph and product meta tags) or, when those are missing, from its text, which is then drafted by Cloudflare Workers AI. The result goes back to the person who pasted the link for them to review. We don't store your page. See the privacy policy.

How to block it

Return 401, 403, 429 or 503, or a bot challenge, to requests whose user agent contains MoveToWhopBot. The fetcher treats any of these as a stop. It never retries around a block or disguises itself. Because it fetches only a page a person asked for, it doesn't read robots.txt.
